Donald Trump’s motorcade was involved in a road accident on Tuesday in Louisiana, according to journalists travelling with the president.
Reporters spotted at least two officers on the ground. Mr Trump’s vehicle, an armoured limousine, is believed to be fine.
The motorcade reportedly slowed down on its way from Lake Charles to an LNG export facility where he was scheduled to speak.
Witnesses said on social media they had seen the officers being treated for injuries near the highway, some of them standing or sitting up.
Mr Trump is still expected to speak at the facility, albeit “a little bit late” according to MSNBC.
