Huge incentive for Tagliafico to leave Ajax
Nicolas Tagliafico will be set for a bumper pay day if he quits Ajax for Arsenal.
Tagliafico is someone Benitez identified long ago and made moves to sign him in January 2017 and again last summer before he became such hot property.
The full-back is set to remain in the Netherlands for one more year after helping Ajax on their stunning run to the Champions League semi-final.
But there is reportedly a huge incentive for him to leave Amsterdam and join the Premier League in the near future.
According to reports in the Netherlands, Tagliafico has a clause in his contract which says that if his release fee of £17.3million is met, he gets to split the money with the club.
Even if a deal goes through, Ajax will still make a huge profit on the £3.4million they spent on Tagliafico when they signed him from Argentinian side Independiente in January 2018.
