Ajay Devgn is currently busy promoting his upcoming film ‘De De Pyaar De’ along with his co-stars Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh and they seem to be leaving no stone unturned.

While the trailer which was released on Ajay’s birthday this year saw a good response from the audience but the presence of Alok Nath in the film irked the sentiments of many.

While Ajay avoided talking about the topic at the trailer launch of the film, he opened up about the #Metoo controversy and casting rape accused Alok Nath in the film in an interview with Zoom.

Talking about why he avoided answering this question, Ajay said that he already knew that wherever he would go he would be quizzed about it and therefore he had given a statement earlier only.

Not only that but he even expressed his frustration on being quizzed about the same thing by several reporters in press conferences. Furthermore, he even added that if things would have been in his hands then things would have been different.

During the trailer launch of ‘De De Pyaar De’ Ajay had avoided the questions by saying “The film was completed before the allegations surfaced against the concerned person.”

Ajay had even taken to Twitter to express his thoughts on #Metoo movement which had shocked the entire nation. He had written, “I’m disturbed by all the happenings with regards to #MeToo. My company and I believe in providing women with utmost respect and safety. If anyone has wronged even a single woman, neither ADF nor I will stand for it.”

Helmed by Akiv Ali, ‘De De Pyaar De’ which was scheduled to release on May 17 this year has been preponed by a day in order to get a long weekend.
